Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.214 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Religion & Spirituality, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Royal Turban. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 47%. A robust private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Children as young as eight can be found working in factories, an enormous health awareness programme is underway, the nation is reliant on the principle of mutually assured destruction to maintain its security, and Red Cross demand for body bags are rising while sutures are decreasing. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Habeebo's national animal is the camel, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the falafel.
