The Empire of Gunfreak is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its restrictive gun laws. Its compassionate population of 20.246 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Social Welfare, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gunfreak City. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Abortions are routinely performed in Gunfreak's hospitals, badminton was recently banned due to 'unacceptable violence' inherent to the game, meat-eating is frowned upon, and almost all of Gunfreak's water is piped into the country from abroad for exorbitant prices. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gunfreak's national animal is the human, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Gold .

Gunfreak is ranked 99th in Antarctica and 131,170th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -26 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
