Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.061 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Grimtown. The average income tax rate is 88%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

The Grimmywelsh Enquirer offers weekly cash prizes for 'most blasphemous song, story, or cartoon', welfare funding has recently gone through the roof, highschool principals regularly send armed truancy patrols to drag problem students to school, and extreme political groups are outlawed. Crime is totally unknown. Grimmywelsh's national animal is the Dragonfly, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Faloon.
