The People's Republic of Griffindorks is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Sir Pantsalot with an even hand, and remarkable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.558 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Narnia. The average income tax rate is 59%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Tourism and Gambling.

High-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, a National Academy regulates grammar and usage, Griffindorks's schoolchildren are manufactured into a segregated bunch of soldiers, religious zealots, and computer technicians, and Griffindorks's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Griffindorks's national animal is the blue whale, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Squat.
