The People's Republic of Greater Slavia is a huge, cultured nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 782 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Kiev. The average income tax rate is 61%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism, Arms Manufacturing, and Uranium Mining industries.

National parks have long lines of different gender-specific 'Porta-Pottys', record sales of 'child-whacking sticks' have been reported, nobody ever seems to enter or leave the armour-plated flying castle that serves as Greater Slavia's House of Parliament, and conscientious objectors are hanged as traitors. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Greater Slavia's national animal is the Boar, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Hyrvnia.

Greater Slavia is ranked 76th in USSR and 77,685th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -2 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
