The Grand Duchy of Greater Davidstan is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Grand Duke David XVIII with an iron fist, and renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.325 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of ZehGion. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Automobile Manufacturing.

The nation is reliant on the principle of mutually assured destruction to maintain its security, legions of police officers force people to move into massive urban apartments, the nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, and the workforce is almost entirely made up of slave labour. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Greater Davidstan's national animal is the Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Catholicism, and its currency is the GD Goldgulden.

Greater Davidstan is ranked 1st in Alliance of Neutral States and 875th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring 16 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
