The Blue Happy Peaceful Area of God n Country n Byron is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Supreme Leader Lord Byron with an iron fist, and notable for its hatred of cheese. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 4.866 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Religion & Spirituality and the Environment are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Byrontropolis. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Military funding has been stripped back, cremation is compulsory for the deceased, drug-related crimes carry the death penalty, and people faint regularly as they get stuck with compulsory vaccinations. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. God n Country n Byron's national animal is the Microsaurus, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Byronism, and its currency is the Byronage.

God n Country n Byron is ranked 208th in The North Pacific and 6,626th in the world for Most Extreme, scoring 34 on the Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index.
