Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.329 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Education, although Healthcare and Social Equality are secondary priorities. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Gambling and Tourism.

Cars speed down national highways while drivers sleep at the wheel, students cut up leftover Flossies during Arts and Crafts, corporate 'hostile takeovers' now involve ICBMs and main battle tanks, and photographers can be found hiding behind the curtains in Leader's bedroom. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Goatavia's national animal is the goat, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Flossie.
