Citizens are enjoying a recent large cut in taxes, the Thresher Maw is reportedly extinct, Thresher Maws with strange deformities like three eyes and tentacles have been seen prancing through the countryside where industrial waste is dumped, and the government is spending billions of taxpayer ITCs to support the Automobile Manufacturing industry. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Gilese 581d's national animal is the Thresher Maw, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the ITC.
