The Dark Heavens of German Dragons is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by General Zargos with an even hand, and notable for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5.008 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Astaroth. The average income tax rate is 96%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Book Publishing and Gambling.

Teams of painters are converting road signs from horse lengths to kilometers, rag-wearing teachers are often mistaken for homeless people, abortions are routinely performed in German Dragons's hospitals, and politicians are to be found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. German Dragons's national animal is the Serpent, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Dragon Mark.

German Dragons is ranked 2nd in NAZI EUROPE and 750th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 13 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
