The Shadow Legion of German Dragons is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Kaiser Edward von Skorzeny with an even hand, and remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed population of 9.12 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Inferi' Nova. The average income tax rate is 75%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Book Publishing, and Gambling industries.

Discarded pennies litter the streets, school uniforms are compulsory, the nation is reliant on the principle of mutually assured destruction to maintain its security, and all mothers are allowed six months fully-paid maternity leave. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. German Dragons's national animal is the Falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Reichsmark.

German Dragons is ranked 2nd in Nazi Europa and 872nd in the world for Largest Cheese Export Sector, scoring 14 on the Mozzarella Productivity Index.
