Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Unified Republican Society of Genesikos is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Hector Delgado with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.905 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Haramu Urbis. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Island residents must resort to canoes and sailboats to get to work, Genesikos successfully hosted the the South Pacific Olympics, all forms of advertising are banned, and badminton was recently banned due to 'unacceptable violence' inherent to the game. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Genesikos's national animal is the Phoenix, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Bre'u Yat, and its currency is the Pecunia.

Genesikos is ranked 4,661st in the South Pacific and 99,407th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -8 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
