The New York Ambassador of Gell-Aviv is a massive, genial nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, cynical population of 2.381 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, corrupt, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Religion & Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 38%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is led by the Cheese Exports industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Uranium Mining.

A dictator has seized power and outlawed elections, gambling is outlawed, the right to free speech is being drastically curtailed, and it is illegal to make racist remarks in public. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gell-Aviv's national animal is the camel, and its currency is the Stock.
