The Eldritch Empire of Gauntleted Fist is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Aria Viole Grace with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 10.537 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Home. The average income tax rate is 97%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.

Abortions are routinely performed in Gauntleted Fist's hospitals, citizens are regularly arrested in queues for 'loitering', tourists outnumber citizens two to one, and the government is avowedly atheist. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gauntleted Fist's national animal is the Spoon fish, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Random, and its currency is the credit.
