OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Celtic Federation of Gandhapura is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Guillermo I with an even hand, and remarkable for its happy-go-lucky citizens. Its compassionate population of 9.92 billion enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Atlantipolis. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Welfare funding has recently gone through the roof, tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, wind farms are erected on shuttered oil platforms, and the mob and the police have recently had numerous clashes in the back alleys of Gandhapura's cities due to the government's steadfast anti-casino stance. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gandhapura's national animal is the giraffe, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the gold star.

Gandhapura is ranked 21st in Ravencroft and 122,171st in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -16 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
