OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Celtic Federation of Gandhapura is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Guillermo I with an even hand, and notable for its hatred of cheese. The compassionate population of 10.717 billion Gandhapurians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Atlantipolis. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Kids laugh off vandalism and arson as "just fun", it is illegal for police officers to carry out searches due to strict privacy laws, the new Refuse Hills housing development is under construction, and children as young as six shock their parents by coming out of the closet. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gandhapura's national animal is the giraffe, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Ancient Tradition, and its currency is the gold star.

Gandhapura is ranked 1st in Ravencroft and 7,726th in the world for Safest, scoring 399.6 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
