The Jamahiriya of Gaddafi is a massive, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 3.243 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Education and Defence are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 49%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Gambling.

Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Gaddafi's national animal is the mad dog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the oil barrel.
