The Federated Communities of Free South Califas is a massive, cultured nation, remarkable for its happy-go-lucky citizens. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.281 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Los Angeles. The average income tax rate is 85%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Divorce lawyers are found begging on the streets, Members of Parliament operate under a PAYE scheme, citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless, and invading armies are given hard glares for their cheek. Crime is totally unknown. Free South Califas's national animal is the California Harvest Mouse, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the credit hour.

Free South Califas is ranked 221st in The Internationale and 85,437th in the world for Most Influential, scoring 5 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
