Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 2.579 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Adiyamanspor. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 61%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Universities are populated by the spawn of the upper classes, frequent fliers are obliged to submit to invasive security procedures by government security, the FBI Channel Tunnel project is plagued by delays, and glittering new sports stadiums adorn every city and town. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Fowleristan's national animal is the Bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Greek Orthodox, and its currency is the Cufflink.
