The Enlightened Eco-Domain of Floreria is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by the Elder Sage of Florel Kelia with an even hand, and renowned for its happy-go-lucky citizens. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 14.074 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Florel Kelia. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, the airship business has been driven out of the country by strict regulations and high fines, and citizens are expected to be proficient in at least five languages. Crime is totally unknown. Floreria's national animal is the sentient, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Reality, and its currency is the fleuris.

Floreria is ranked 1st in Haiku and 34th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 1,412 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
