The Bastard Mod Nation of Floggleites is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by That Bastard with an even hand, and notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed population of 5.271 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government is mainly concerned with the Environment, although Social Equality and Healthcare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Capital City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

All-natural foods are becoming a major fad, annulments are on the rise as couples discover their ancestors were born in the same hospitals, terrified neighbors cower behind concertina wire and machine gun nests, and terrified tympanists are finding themselves on the front lines armed only with kettledrums. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Floggleites's national animal is the chocobo, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Violetism, and its currency is the flogging.

Floggleites is ranked 11th in Final Fantasy and 99,903rd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -9 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
