The Empire of Filadelfia is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Antonius de Lucia with an even hand, and renowned for its happy-go-lucky citizens. Its compassionate population of 5.101 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lorem Urbem. The average income tax rate is 76%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Schools have extensive counseling programs for troubled students, politicians are often found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income, tax evaders are regularly visited by agents of the Filadelfia Blood Tithe, and Filadelfia has been recently classified as an international menace after 'liberating' several nearby territories. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Filadelfia's national animal is the Feather-Bellied Wolfdog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Romanumism, and its currency is the Denari.

Filadelfia is ranked 23rd in The United Feline Commonwealths and 119,575th in the world for Largest Timber Woodchipping Industry, scoring -9 on the Tasmanian Pulp Environmental Export Index.
