The Borderlands of Fenrisgard is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Osmer with an even hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 3.904 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Social Welfare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eastfall. The average income tax rate is 80%, and even higher for the wealthy. A large private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Nudity is frowned upon, the government is spending millions on renovating the public transportation system, cars are banned from built-up areas, and the government has instituted 'traveller reservations' across the country. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Fenrisgard's national animal is the wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Creationism, and its currency is the Beryl Meter.

Fenrisgard is ranked 142nd in Balder and 6,064th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 24 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
