The Federal Republic of Felenia is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by President Katherine Samusenko with an even hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 17.373 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sirone. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, a niche industry catering to S&M enthusiasts has sprung up, dozens of additional foreign policy specialists have been sent to the country's WA Mission, and recruitment posters proclaim the army to be both fabulous and fashionable. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Felenia's national animal is the jaguar, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is apatheism, and its currency is the lira.
