The Federal Republic of Felenia is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by President Elizabeth Konovalov with an even hand, and renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed population of 14.539 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sirone. The average income tax rate is 99%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

The 'Half King of Maxtopia' exhibit is the least popular amongst museum-goers, the government strictly regulates whale harvest quotas, a punitive tax has been placed on harmful emissions, and the 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Felenia's national animal is the jaguar, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is apatheism, and its currency is the lira.
