The United Duchies of Fedeledland is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Doge Lorenzo VII with a fair hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 6.857 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Education, although Healthcare and Social Equality are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nuova Firenze. The average income tax rate is 95%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Tourism, and Information Technology industries.

The government seizes all major gold finds, Saturday morning cartoons feature full frontal nudity, photographers can be found hiding behind the curtains in Doge Lorenzo VII's bedroom, and almost all of Fedeledland's water is piped into the country from abroad for exorbitant prices. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Fedeledland's national animal is the Golden Hawk, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is None, and its currency is the Fedeledlandese Florin.

Fedeledland is ranked 4th in Ashazeth and 6,432nd in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 89 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
