The Empire of Farus is a massive, devout nation, ruled by Duel Sovereigns with an iron fist, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.487 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Coruscant. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 33%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Minority children spend hours bussing to schools miles away from home, citizens are permitted to carry concealed handguns, fur coats have become the latest fashion trend, and urban high-volume mailers now receive their mail via chauffeur-driven limousines. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Farus's national animal is the Titanaboa, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Credit.

Farus is ranked 43rd in The Kingdom of Denmark and 59,123rd in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 13 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
