The Republic of Far Away is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Vash Ivanovich Kaiser with an even hand, and notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed population of 1.058 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Exodia. The average income tax rate is 87%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Automobile Manufacturing, and Uranium Mining industries.

Christians has been named as Far Away's national religion, senior citizens are often found slaving away in factories, the government pours millions of Double Dollars into rehabilitation programs annually, and Eagles with strange deformities like three eyes and tentacles have been seen prancing through the countryside where industrial waste is dumped. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Far Away's national animal is the Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is christians, and its currency is the Double Dollar.

Far Away is ranked 535th in The North Pacific and 15,682nd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 3 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
