The Voluntaryist Aggregate of Faith Hope Charity is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Nos Populus with a fair hand, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 9.605 billion Faith Hope Charityians live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal, pro-business individuals is effectively ruled by the Department of Commerce, with areas such as Social Welfare and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Laissez-Faire. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.

Elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume, cyber-crime and tin-foil hat sales are both increasing at record rates, Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed, and penurious citizens die from easily remedied ailments because they aren't 'taking enough initiative'. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Faith Hope Charity's national animal is the Falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its currency is the Quid Pro Quo.

Faith Hope Charity is ranked 5th in Laissez Faireholm and 2,673rd in the world for Lowest Unemployment Rates, scoring 574 on the Workforce Participation Versus Theoretical Maximum Metric.
