The Republic of EyeMind is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Mittens with an even hand, and renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.836 billion are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, the Environment, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Miranda. The average income tax rate is 93%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Waste is frequently shipped to other countries, naturists are jailed regularly for indecent exposure, the national Police Academies have dedicated infant wings, and murderers frequently escape punishment by claiming they were protecting their honour. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. EyeMind's national animal is the Lion, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Schnoofism, and its currency is the Jar.

EyeMind is ranked 4,173rd in the West Pacific and 99,425th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -8 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
