The Socialist Vanguard Alliance of EuroSoviets is a gargantuan, cultured nation, remarkable for its irreverence towards religion. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 21.719 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Athens. The average income tax rate is 100%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Book Publishing.

Saturday morning cartoons feature full frontal nudity, citizens recently voted in favour of declaring bubblewrap an 'abomination of nature', citizens may cast their vote over the internet or phone, and education and welfare spending are on the rise. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. EuroSoviets's national animal is the Bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Federius.

EuroSoviets is ranked 2nd in Allied States of EuroIslanders and 186th in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 57 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
