The Island of Etereplastico is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Francesco with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 3.698 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Propane. The average income tax rate is 90%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Clowns are being rounded up and admitted to mental institutions, conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, priests are being drafted by the church load, and national parks have long lines of different gender-specific 'Porta-Pottys'. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Etereplastico's national animal is the white tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Plastic.
