The Imperial Hegemony of Etanis is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by His Majesty Ethanias Etanor with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.569 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Terra Secundi. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 66%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

City rooftops are pockmarked with the shattered remains of experimental delivery drones, the military is blowing up any threat to employment within the nation, the national Police Academies have dedicated infant wings, and priests are being drafted by the church load. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Etanis's national animal is the Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Imperial dollar.

Etanis is ranked 22nd in Furry Federation and 25,682nd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 2 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
