The Holy Empire of Estrimbaal is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Holy Emperor Francis II with an even hand, and renowned for its restrictive gun laws. The compassionate population of 7.931 billion Estrimbaalians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Estrimbaal. The average income tax rate is 79%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The people are famous throughout the region for their bleached-white teeth, procrastination is a national sport, artists are pillars of society, and Estrimbaal is notorious for its citizens' infidelity. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Estrimbaal's national animal is the Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is The Catholic Patriarchate, and its currency is the Gold Sol.

Estrimbaal is ranked 170th in Balder and 6,668th in the world for Longest Average Lifespans, scoring 34 on the Enoch Index.
