The Freeborn City State of Escapos is a colossal, safe nation, remarkable for its parental licensing program. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 6.265 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The minute government, or what there is of one, is mainly concerned with Education, although Healthcare and the Environment are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dura-Europos. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 20%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Schoolchildren have twice-weekly sex education classes, voting is voluntary, politicians are losing their jobs in a plan to make the government 'leaner and fitter', and the government jails the parents of underage drinkers. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Escapos's national animal is the Elephant, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Silver Star.
