The VRCC ArchBishop of Erasticanius is a massive, devout nation, ruled by Father Dietrich Maximillian with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its compassionate population of 3.501 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Social Welfare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wesleynia. The average income tax rate is 91%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Space research funding has hit a recent high while several military bases are being closed down, abortions are carried out secretly in shady backstreet clinics, nudity is frowned upon, and badminton was recently banned due to 'unacceptable violence' inherent to the game. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Erasticanius's national animal is the Giant Squid, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Virtual Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the Euro.

Erasticanius is ranked 14th in Vatican II and 66,857th in the world for Most Conservative, scoring 49 on the Bush-Santorum Dawning Terror Index.
