The Entropic States of Endless Pi is a colossal, devout nation, ruled by Our Honorable Supreme Leader with a fair hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 9.612 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Law & Order and Public Transport are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Endless Pi City. The average income tax rate is 41%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

The government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, urban high-volume mailers now receive their mail via chauffeur-driven limousines, and disaster victims are viewed with disdain. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is pervasive, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Endless Pi's national animal is the pi snout, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the pi slices.

Endless Pi is ranked 4,139th in the West Pacific and 97,798th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -7 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
