The Empire of Emporer Islands is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Emperor of the CPE with an iron fist, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 2.913 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Emporer Islands City. The average income tax rate is 68%, and even higher for the wealthy. A robust private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Cheating spouses are required to undergo job training, it is mandatory to learn evolution in schools, immigrants flood the job queues as discrimination in the workplace makes a staggering comeback, and soylent products are an expensive commodity due to a lack of volunteers. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Emporer Islands's national animal is the Koala, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Dollar.
