The Naval Base of Emersion is a massive, devout nation, ruled by Governor John Arcus with an even hand, and notable for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.205 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The medium-sized, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Commerce, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tipoca City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism, Book Publishing, and Gambling industries.

Tesco was recently named as the new national treasurer, the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, Catholicism has been named as Emersion's national religion, and a crusade against barbaric religious practices has begun. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem. Emersion's national animal is the Acklay, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Catholicism, and its currency is the Republic Credit.
