The Confederacy of Elosson is a huge, economically powerful nation, ruled by Elo Cism with an even hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 933 million are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Social Welfare and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Elossonsson. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

The booming slave trade is now government-funded, commercial jingles have been ham-handedly forced into world renowned symphonies, the nation refuses to provide international aid, and politicians are often found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Elosson's national animal is the tiger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the tiger's blood.

Elosson is ranked 12th in Outpost Uber Alles and 97,940th in the world for Most Conservative, scoring 36 on the Bush-Santorum Dawning Terror Index.
