The United States of Elevation is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 15.016 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Defence, and Education. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Automobile Manufacturing industry.

Teachers are routinely tested to keep their jobs, the tenet of free speech is held dear, the mining industry has taken a hit from tighter environmental regulations, and the government is seen to favor Catholics. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Elevation's national animal is the Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Bottle Cap.
