The Dictatorship of Egoloron is a huge, safe nation, notable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 580 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Area Chekucaro. The average income tax rate is 80%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Almost all of Egoloron's water is piped into the country from abroad for exorbitant prices, political activists are routinely executed, the controversial show 'Who Wants to be an Immigrant?' has become wildly popular, and frequent fliers are obliged to submit to invasive security procedures by government security. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Egoloron's national animal is the Raccoon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Dort.

Egoloron is ranked 7th in Imperial Britain and 13,862nd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 3 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
