Its compassionate, intelligent population of 18.399 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, liberal morass -- juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ottawa. The average income tax rate is 18%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government is avowedly atheist, calling out of the blue has become taboo, the "Underwear of Women in Power" issue of The Ottawa Times is sold out, and the airship business has been driven out of the country by strict regulations and high fines. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Duplicatlicor's national animal is the beaver, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Canadian dollar.
