The Soviet Republic of Dudaev is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by the Supreme Soviet with a fair hand, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 15.546 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Education are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gregor. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 92%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Teams of painters are converting road signs from horse lengths to kilometers, more and more students are taking up a career in medicine, the government has enacted freedom of information, and Dudaev's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dudaev's national animal is the Communist Beaver, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Copper Rouble.
