The Confederacy of Druganov is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Alexei with a fair hand, and notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.575 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Defence and Law & Order are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lexxington. The average income tax rate is 51%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Book Publishing and Uranium Mining.

The mob and the police have recently had numerous clashes in the back alleys of Druganov's cities due to the government's steadfast anti-casino stance, innocent defendants often plea guilty for fear of receiving a much harsher sentence before jury, cheese has become the new icon of political dissent, and the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem. Druganov's national animal is the ukelele, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the poen.
