The Armed Republic of DrPeppermany is a huge, economically powerful nation, ruled by Carl Winslow with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 762 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Projects. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 54%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Information Technology and Arms Manufacturing.

Carl Winslow has been known to threaten dissenting citizens with a machine gun at press conferences, the government seizes all major gold finds, school uniforms are compulsory, and factories are regularly demolished to make way for low-cost housing areas. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. DrPeppermany's national animal is the 3 toed sloth, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Can.
