The Progressive NY Democracy of Drewsnia is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by President Drew W Solender with an even hand, and renowned for its irreverence towards religion. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.72 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Healthcare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Drew York City. The average income tax rate is 83%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Organ donation is compulsory, space research funding has hit a recent high while several military bases are being closed down, religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else, and new safety regulations require all cars manufactured in Drewsnia to be bombproof. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Drewsnia's national animal is the Osprey, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Jewish, and its currency is the Drewble.

Drewsnia is ranked 65th in Europeia and 3,589th in the world for Healthiest Citizens, with 14 Standard Bananas Ingested per capita per day.
