The Dominion of Dread Lady Nathicana is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by the Imperatrice with an iron fist, and renowned for its complete lack of public education. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 19.635 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Devras. The average income tax rate is 69%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Tax evaders are regularly visited by agents of the Dread Lady Nathicana Blood Tithe, loans are available for students from poor families, the new 'Things We Stole From Other Countries' exhibition at the National Museum of Antiquities is a hit, and fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dread Lady Nathicana's national animal is the Falcon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the gold sovereign.

Dread Lady Nathicana is ranked 2nd in The Vast and 614th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 14 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
