The Dragon Federation of Dragon13 is a colossal, genial nation, ruled by The Senate with an even hand, and renowned for its national health service. Its compassionate population of 6.509 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Healthcare, and Social Equality. The average income tax rate is 78%, and even higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Abortions are routinely performed in Dragon13's hospitals, cars are banned from built-up areas, there's a shortage of swinging hot spots as land development grinds to a halt, and the government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dragon13's national animal is the Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Ouroboros.
