The Nomocracy of Dornach is a gargantuan, genial nation, ruled by The Well-Doer with an even hand, and notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 11.029 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dracon. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 69%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry.

Citizens are permitted to carry concealed handguns, the government strictly regulates whale harvest quotas, politicians have to be granted day-release from prison to speak on bills, and frequent fliers are obliged to submit to invasive security procedures by government security. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dornach's national animal is the centinel, and its currency is the Draco.
