The Sylvanaes Queendom of Dorian and Sonya is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by High Queen Sonya Sabre with an iron fist, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, cynical population of 10.002 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of White Hall. The average income tax rate is 94%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Aeroplanes have been converted into housing units after all air travel was outlawed, Dorian and Sonya is increasingly belligerent on the international stage, businesses are forced to bring all work back within the nation’s borders, and all industry is owned and run by the government. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dorian and Sonya's national animal is the Mystical Unicorn, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the whitehall dollar.

Dorian and Sonya is ranked 9th in Atlantian Oceania and 3,263rd in the world for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 119 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
