The Golden Pantheon of Doomingsland is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Daios with an iron fist, and remarkable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 17.105 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mons Dei. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

A survey of the nation's rivers and children has shown that pesticide levels are at an all-time regional high, travellers are often forcibly evicted by torch-bearing mobs, the nation has recently been attributed to the funding of terrorist organisations, and the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Doomingsland's national animal is the slave, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is the Golden Pantheon, and its currency is the maxin.

Doomingsland is ranked 2,948th in Balder and 130,586th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring -349 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
