The Federal Republic of Ditzonia is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by The Great Bazzoon with an iron fist, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 1.384 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Healthcare, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Focsangeles. The average income tax rate is 40%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Information Technology industries.

Children deemed 'disorderly' or otherwise unfit for public schools are shipped off to military academies, the national Police Academies have dedicated infant wings, the colors pink and purple are banned from military unit insignia, and underage drinkers are dragged through the streets and put in the stocks. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Ditzonia's national animal is the Folfozel, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Banu.

Ditzonia is ranked 1,316th in 10000 Islands and 79,715th in the world for Most Extreme, scoring 15 on the Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index.
